| Mark and Jodi Henry - Sterling and Lampwork Totem Pendant "Ominotago" This gorgeous Native American inspired pendant is one of my favorites! We came upon the design in a rather unexpected way. Mark had been playing with the idea of making an entire bird out of glass. But everytime he got to the wings, he could not think of a way to do them. He decided to finish the bird with no wings. I held on to the bird for awhile, not knowing what to do for the wings either. Then on a trip to the mountains, I had taken my jewelry supplies to play with some ideas and our bird was born! I think being surrounded by nature had much to do with my inspiration. I have added her into our "Totem" series with our other Native American inspired designs. The name "Ominotago" means "Beautfiul Voice" in Cheyenne. Body measures 1 and 3/8 inches tall and is approx. 1/2 of an inch wide by 1/2 of an inch thick. Design is in a Turquoise base with accenting colors of Red, Black, and White. Her wing span is 2 and 5/8 inches and her wings are done in sterling silver, with sterling silver components. Wings are filled with 26 dangling tassels that are free moving, creating a very natural flowing design. The tassels are filled with seed beads, shells, and these stones: Turquoise, Coral, and Tigerseye. Pendant is ready to be worn on chain, or leather, as shown here. (Leather not included with pendant).
