| Mark and Jodi Henry - Sterling and Lampwork Totem Pendant "Chayton" This gorgeous Native American inspired pendant is one of my favorites! We came upon the design in a rather unexpected way. Mark had been playing with the idea of making an entire bird out of glass. But everytime he got to the wings, he could not think of a way to do them. He decided to finish the bird with no wings. I held on to the bird for awhile, not knowing what to do for the wings either. Then on a trip to the mountains, I had taken my jewelry supplies to play with some ideas and our bird was born! I think being surrounded by nature had much to do with my inspiration. I have added him into our "Totem" series with our other Native American inspired designs. The name "Chayton" means "Falcon" in Sioux. Body measures 1 and 3/16 inches tall and is approx. 7/16 of an inch wide by 7/16 of an inch thick. Design is a Turquoise base with accenting colors of White and Black. His wing span is 2 and 1/8 inches and his wings are all done in sterling silver, with sterling silver components. Wings are filled with 24 dangling tassels that are free moving, creating a very natural flowing design. The tassels are filled with seed beads, shells, and these stones: Turquoise and Tigerseye. Pendant is ready to be worn on chain, or leather, as shown here. (Leather not included with pendant).
